Jeff Jarvis Jeff Jarvis about Google Wave

Google Wave is still in development. It’s a browser-based tool that mixes e-mail, with Instant Messaging and real-time online collaboration elements. Wave is currently only open to developers interested in building applications for the tool. Wave aims to be “what e-mail might look like if it were invented today,” says Lars Rasmussen, who is togehter with his brother Jens the co-founder of the Wave team.

The new application is a competitor to Twitter and to Microsoft’s collaboration software, Sharepoint. For a short radio feature, which I did today for Deutschlandfunk I spoke with Jeff Jarvis, author of the book “What would Google do?” about the implication that Google Wave will have. I asked him, what his first impression of Wave was?

I totally agree. I hope that they redesign wave before it goes to public BETA.

Ich hab Wave komplett unterschätzt als ich davon das erste Mal gehört habe. Extrem spannend ist, dass jeder Wave auf einem normalen Webserver wird installieren können. Muss mir das Video selbst einmal anschauen.
